Background:
A slight accent gives away her country of origin. Her name adds confusion to the matter. Aliki was born in Auckland New Zealand and arrived on Australian soil at the age of 9. A Greek heritage left her with a name that always raised questions and skin that loves the sun. ‘Aliki’ means "truth", appropriate given a search that led her to a relationship with Jesus, the way the truth and the life.

Through the years many mispronunciations and puns won chuckles. A holiday park owner in NZ blurted out the most famous of these when she was 7 years old. ‘A Leaky Tap’ has stuck to this day.

Aliki gave her life to Jesus Christ at the age of 8. The following years saw many twists and turns, including diversions to spiritualism and new age practises. Every path a dead end, and every path a learning experience, she returned to her first love (Jesus) at the same time she meet her husband Robert, they married the following year.

Growing up, Aliki’s lounge room doubled as a stage. With hair brush in hand, Abba sounds and moves were performed with great passion. A garage band in grade 8 called ‘Cloud Nine’ was a closer brush with the real thing, yet still as funny as the hair brush days in the lounge. It was in Bible College that Aliki starting sharing songs as devotions... tying in the elements of personal testimony and teaching from scripture.

In 1999 a monthly Qld publication "The Christian Echo" opened a regular column for Aliki's writing. So began a lot of writing which included song lyrics. "The Australian Christian" magazine also invited Aliki to write for their national subscribers.

The ingredient remaining for impacting songs, was brilliant music. The answer to prayer was Steven Dix, writing amazing music for Aliki's debut album 'Signs of Grace". "Signs of Grace" has received radio & television airplay across Australia, New Zealand, UK & Europe. Songs off the album have won national song writing awards (Oz Music) & Aliki was nominated "Best New Artist" in 2004 at the Australian Gospel Music Awards and awarded "Best Christian Artist" at the 2006 HDR Independent Music Awards.

Rob & Aliki Founded "Square One Ministries" in 2004 and launched into full time ministry. Their tour across outback Queensland was welcomed by communities small & large. Work on a second album began during this time with producer Phil Slade. Recording for "House of I Am" took place at the famed "Mangrove Studios", now "The Grove Studios" at Gosford NSW. The first single released, "A Million Distant Suns" made entry to the Australian Christian Music charts, with airplay across the country.

Aliki's tours of NSW and VIC in 2005 left behind a trail of refreshing & inspiration for many denominations and church leaders. 2006 included ministry in NT and SA, the start of album three (produced by Steven Dix) and a distribution deal with Crossroads Australia, now making Albums available through Christian retail.

Aliki, Rob and their two children, Zinta and Alexander live on beautiful Tamborine Mountain (Gold Coast Hinterland) and are members of Liberty Fellowship, Tamborine.
