Background:
Dennis Prince trained as a Civil Engineer at the University of Melbourne and spent most of his secular life lecturing in Civil engineering and teaching Secondary School science.  Her became a Christian at the age of 22.

Nolene Prince studied a music degree at the University of Melbourne, majoring in singing. She sang on ABC radio, as a soloist with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in Handel’s “Messiah” and furthered her singing in London.  She worked for a short time as a music teacher in secondary schools.  Raised in the church and steeped in Christian music, she became a Christian at age 15.

Their early married life was marred by tragedy – their first child died at 16 weeks and the second was stillborn at full term.  The subsequent years of prayer and studying issues of faith and spiritual warfare gave them a solid foundation for their ministry.  They attended Bible College in Adelaide (the fore-runner of Tabor College) and in 1976 co-planted a church – the Christian resource Centre in Melbourne – working together with Nolene’s brother Ray Gilmour and his wife Margaret and family.

That church grew rapidly with a special focus on worship, and Nolene compiled and arranged many worship songs they were using. In 1981 these became the basis of the “Resource Song Book” which became widely used  around Australia.

Other churches asked Dennis and Nolene to teach on worship. This ministry developed into a seminar that has been conducted in many states of Australia and overseas, and in churches of most denominations – including Anglican, Uniting, Baptist, Churches of Christ Salvation Army, Catholic, Reformed, Pentecostal and independent.

They have also been instrumental in establishing the Melbourne School of Worship.

Nolene is an established songwriter – her song “Holy is the Lord of Hosts” was born out of a prophetic word given by evangelist Dick Mills and has been and is being sung around the world in many languages (Go to www.resource.com.au for the full story).

They have published over 1000 songs since 1981 and each year produce two more releases of the latest and best praise and worship songs for congregation – CDs, music books and other resources (Go to www.resource.com.au for full details).

Their albums are now recorded at Waverley Christian Fellowship in Melbourne and are produced by Carl Laurens and Adrian Murley.
