Director & Snr Psychologist, Elizabeth Benson-Stott runs a ministry of Counselling and Business services in rural Queensland with her husband James.

An engaging speaker, Elizabeth has been invited as a guest speaker to conferences around Australia to address topics such as suicide prevention and the spiritual aspect model, as well as communication, leadership, counselling, working with youth, emotions, mental health, biblical principles, understanding personality types, human resources, and raising up your standards as a Christian.

Background

Elizabeth is actively involved in many aspects of her community locally, state, nationally, and internationally.  Elizabeth is actively involved in church and helping ot raise up standards as a Christian.  As a Director & Snr Psychologist Elizabeth has worked in both USA and Australia in the field of Clinical/Forensic/Organisational Psychology and Mental Health, Human Resources, Education, and Management. She has travelled extensively gaining in-depth knowledge of cultural aspects. She has been a State/National and International Guest Speaker at Conferences on Human Resources, Management, Leadership, Counselling, Mental Health, Suicidal Intervention/Prevention/Postvention, and Psychology. Elizabeth strives to maintain the effectiveness of ministry in order to maximize client satisfaction, and takes a particular interest in the personal and spiritual development of people.  Elizabeth won the 2004 Australian National Award for Youth Suicide Intervention & prevention which was sponsored by Suicide Prevention Australia and Hyundai.  In 2005, Elizabeth was a Semi-Finalist in the Queensland Regional Achievers Award.  In 2005,  Elizabeth ’s business (Aggregate Corporation) of 18 months, won the Hervey Bay Chamber of Commerce Special Commendation Award, and the Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce New Business Award.  In 2006, Elizabeth 's business won the 2006 Fraser Coast Business Award Professional Services 5-20 Staff.  Elizabeth also won the 2006 Australian Institute of Management QLD & NT Rural/Remote Manager of the Year Sunshine Coast Award, along with the International Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professionals Donald Cohen Fellowship Award for her international work in suicide prevention and intervention. 

Elizabeth currently sits on the Queensland Children Services Tribunal, Queensland Ministerial Advisory Council on Domestic and Family Violence, Queensland Psychologists Panel of Assessors Health Board, Expert Reference Group for the Queensland Centre for Mental Health Learning, Health Quality & Complaints Commission, Director of Aggregate Corporation (Psychological and  Business Services), and Suicide Prevention Australia Board. She also sat on the Wandiny RAPASS Board as Vice Chairperson for four years (Indigenous Incorporation).
