Howard Langmead  

In 1995 Howard Langmead, an Anglican minister, began performing comedy in pubs and clubs, and has provided ‘comedy with a message’  in a variety of settings. He has performed in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival for the last six years. He also facilitates Laughter Therapy workshops for community groups.

From March 2001 to January 2004 he had a weekly commentary spot on 3AK, and has provided occasional commentary segments and interviews on many other radio and television programs.

Formerly a primary school teacher, Howard was ordained over twenty years ago. Healing is an integral part of his ministry. He has preached (& prayed with a modicum of success) at healing services in a wide variety of churches. For many years he was on the team of St. Paul 's Cathedral healing ministry. Currently he is vicar of St. John's Anglican Church West Brunswick – an inner urban Melbourne church that defies the national trends by steadily growing. He is part-time in the parish to give time to his comedy and media work.
