Author of “Worth More Than Rubies:
The Value of a Work At Home Mum”

Women today crave to return home to care for their families and use their skills to contribute to the household income
but
what a description to live up to!

Kathie M. Thomas pioneered the Virtual Assistant Industry in Australia and is a Virtual Assistant, Coach, Author and Speaker. She recently published her book “Worth More Than Rubies: The Value of a Work At Home Mum” which is a study on the Proverbs 31 Woman, coupled with life experience.

“Worth More Than Rubies” is an awe-inspiring name tag to have to live up to yet few women realise this is precisely what the work at home businesswoman and mum is worth to her family. For those who do realise the full significance and want to adopt this lifestyle, most are frustrated this way of life eludes them.

Kathie Thomas shares in her presentations just how she did exactly that, bringing up 5 daughters, and establishing a new industry, using skills she’d developed in the corporate world for over 20 years. She believes that women today can do what their ancestors did – work at home and care for the family, returning to old-fashioned values and using modern day skills.

Concern for the welfare of our children, plus escalating costs of childcare makes this book a ‘must read’ for all mothers who desire to work at home and be there for their families.

Kathie, and husband Graham, attend Bayside Church in Melbourne , Victoria with Kathie being an enthusiastic member of the business ministry team. She also runs a writers’ group for members of her church and Graham is on the media team.  Bayside is a Christian City Church .

I first accepted the Lord as my Saviour when I was 14 years old, although I didn't know that was what I was doing at the time - the church I attended never talked about 'being saved'.  I was listening to a song being sung by a visiting Christian singing group in the school hall and that song really touched me and I felt like it was just me and Him in that room.  The year was 1973.  Music still affects me very strongly, particularly when praising and worshipping the Lord.

I currently attend Bayside Church in Victoria, with my husband and one of our five daughters and we've very actively involved there.
